Echoes
An exhibition by newcomers from Afghanistan and Syria

Through striking self-portraits and heartfelt personal narratives, "Echoes" provides an intimate window into the lives of refugee youth, capturing their struggles, hopes, and aspirations as they forge new paths in a foreign land. Each piece resonates with the echoes of their past and the promises of their future, creating a bridge of understanding between the viewers and the artists.
The exhibition not only highlights the resilience and creativity of these young artists but also challenges perceptions and encourages dialogue about the refugee experience. By presenting their stories through the universal language of art, "Echoes" aims to foster empathy, celebrate diversity, and inspire a deeper appreciation for the courage and strength it takes to rebuild a life in a new place.

أنا فراشة... حسنًا، نعم هذه كذبة ولكننا متشابهان بلدي عبارة عن حديقة ضخمة من الزهور، زهور الياسمين، أنا الفراشة هناك التي تنشر المشاعر الجميلة للجميع، آه نعم لست الوحيد هناك العديد من الأطفال الآخرين أعني الفراشات بالداخل هناك نبحث عن الخير في كل شيء ونعيده عندما تم تدمير الزهور في الحديقة من قبل البشر، اتبعت الرحيق من أجل حياة أفضل حياتي قصيرة وأريد أن أقضيها في الخير وأن يتذكرني الناس بالخير وأتركها للعالم ومرة أخرى أنا لست الوحيد هناك كثيرون مثلي.

I am a butterfly... well yes this is a lie but we are similar. My country is a huge garden of flowers, jasmine flowers. I am the butterfly in there that is spreading pretty fulfill feelings to everyone, ahh yeah I am not the only one there is many many other kids I mean butterflies inside there We look for the good in everything and we give it back As the flowers in the garden were getting destroyed by human kind I followed the nectar for a better life My life is short and I want to spend it in good and to be remembered with good ai leave out to the world And again I am not the only one there is many other like me.

من پروانه ام... خب بله این یک دروغ است اما ما شبیه هم هستیم کشور من یک باغ بزرگ از گل هاست، گل های یاس من پروانه ای هستم که در آنجا احساسات بسیار خوبی را به همه منتقل می کند، آه، آره من تنها نیستم، بسیاری از بچه های دیگر وجود دارند، منظورم پروانه ها است. ما در همه چیز به دنبال خوبی هستیم و آن را پس می دهیم از آنجایی که گل های باغ در حال نابود شدن توسط انسان ها بودند، من برای زندگی بهتر به دنبال شهد رفتم عمر من کوتاه است و می خواهم آن را به نیکی بگذرانم و از من به نیکی یاد کنم به دنیا و باز من تنها کسی نیستم که بسیاری دیگر مانند من هستند.

Just like a flower, she brings beauty and warmth to the world around her. She blooms with grace, resilience, and strength, even in the face of challenges. Her presence brings peace and can brighten up any space, and her essence is as unique and captivating as the petals of a flower. And if you wondered who I am talking about, I am talking about the strong women who are flowers in a country of war and never give up, they always have hope and are still fighting for the day they might have their own rights.
